The secret for any successful endeavor is in keeping everything as balanced as possible. Resting and having fun outside of drumming are as important as practicing as much as you can. You’ll keep yourself motivated and enjoying your life a lot more. So if you’ve been practicing like a mad man, stop! Get your favorite drink; sit back and just relax while you watch this fun behind the scenes video from the recording process of the free drum lesson “Cymbal Choking“.

I agree fully with the idea of resting from drumming. once it starts becoming tedious and not enjoyable anymore it takes the fun out of it and you will eventually begin to stagnate. You will appreciate drumming alot more and discover things that you thought you couldn’t do before after a good rest. Sports, a second instrument and friends are all good ways to improve my drumming in my oppinion 🙂
Jared and Dave- You guys are awesum! Keep up the lessons!! 🙂

You should re-do this when they’re leaving work instead. Looked like some of them were to sleepy to even bother reacting 🙂
Nice try though 🙂
